Jiyeon Kang explores residual sensation—sensory traces that remain within the body and perception even after the source of an experience has disappeared. She understands loss and emptiness not as simple absence, but as active conditions that continue to shape the present.

Working across sculpture, installation, photography, and media, she translates tensions, delays, and traces of sensation that resist complete articulation into material and spatial forms. Her work reveals subtle misalignments between perception and sensation, inviting viewers to become aware of their own bodily responses and sensory experiences.
